Senior Project Engineer (MSP) bdManagedIT | Managed IT Services Location: Madison, GA (Hybrid Preferred) | Remote Considered bdManagedIT is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to design, build, and deliver complex IT projects in a growing managed services environment. This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who takes ownership of project execution, applies strong technical judgment, and ensures high-quality outcomes for clients. About bdManagedIT bdManagedIT is a growing Managed IT Services Provider based in Madison, Georgia. We partner with businesses to deliver reliable, proactive IT services through strong execution, clear processes, and trusted relationships. Our focus is on building scalable systems, improving service delivery, and investing in the right people to support long-term growth. The Senior Project Engineer plays a critical role in implementing solutions, supporting project planning and onboarding efforts, and mentoring other engineers as the organization scales. While this role may contribute technical input during scoping and solution discussions, the primary accountability is successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in an MSP or IT services environment
  • Strong background in project execution with design-and-build experience
  • Proven ability to work independently on complex technical initiatives
  • Organized, accountable, and calm under pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure (migrations, identity, security)
  • Networking (firewalls, VPNs, switching, routing)
  • Server environments (on-prem and cloud)
  • Backup, disaster recovery, and security solutions
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions end-to-end

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute client IT projects from design through implementation
  • Deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with technical standards
  • Perform hands-on configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure clean handoff to service teams with thorough documentation
  • Participate in solution design for projects and new client onboarding
  • Provide technical input during scoping and planning discussions as needed
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations early
  • Serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and repeatable processes
  • Promote automation, efficiency, and best practices
