About The Position

AccessSMT/ CP Distributors is a leading supplier, installer and project manager of solutions driven offerings in Construction Divisions 8, 28 and 10 which include Architectural Hardware, Access Control and Building Security Systems, Hollow Metal Doors and Frames, Wood Doors and Frames, Specialty Doors, Construction Specialties, Lockers, Partitions, Washroom Accessories and Visual and Display Boards. The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating various steps and functions of the project upon the company’s acceptance of the project. The incumbent will organize, direct, and evaluate projects, and assist in their seamless execution from start to finish. When required, the Senior Project Coordinator may also assist in counter sales.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Construction Technology, Architectural Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of construction project coordination experience (A must have).
  • Proven understanding and experience of project work and industry requirements including Divisions 8 and 10 scopes of work (A must have).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate various steps and functions of the project from initiation to completion, ensuring seamless execution according to schedule, specifications, and budget.
  • Prepare and analyze construction project estimates, shop drawings, and schedules using architectural drawings and hardware detailing per specifications.
  • Manage logistics of moving goods from vendor to customer and oversee material and quantity take-offs.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with project managers, site superintendents, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and coordination.
  • Create, process, and manage project documentation, change orders, technical drawings, and progress claims.
  • Liaise with departments like procurement, manufacturing, and installation to ensure timely delivery and project feasibility.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, address inquiries, and maintain product and project-related communications.
  • Draft or revise shop drawings as needed, utilizing CAD software and company databases.
  • Monitor progress against construction schedules and update project stakeholders as necessary.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, identifying and reporting unsafe work practices or conditions.
