About The Position

The Sr Product Owner will collaborate with developers, product managers, project managers, quality assurance, business teams, and technical support to provide business and technical direction on systems, design, development, testing, and deployment. This role involves learning stakeholder strategy, tactical approaches, priorities, requirements, and business processes. The Sr Product Owner will document business requirements and user stories, oversee the development of technical specifications, and help enforce change control procedures. A key aspect of this role is developing a strong business acumen and applying it to assignments, understanding agile software development methodology, and documenting business needs and user stories. The position requires participation in the functional design process, overseeing the development team backlog, and establishing open and timely communications with all parties. The Sr Product Owner will develop and maintain all project documentation, act as an advocate for customers/users, represent the company professionally, and establish effective relationships with internal and external contacts. Strong organizational skills, detailed and thorough work habits, and the ability to multi-task are essential.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or equivalent discipline.
Requires 6+ years’ experience as a software development business analyst, product owner, or equivalent position.
Requires 2+ years with ecommerce environments (min 1 year of B2B experience required).
Internal candidates: Experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.
Minimum Highly Effective performance in current role.
Expert with project management tools and methodologies, software development lifecycle and problem solving.
General understanding of project management tools, software development lifecycle, and problem solving.
