About The Position

Avtron is seeking to hire a Senior Product Manager who will be responsible for developing product line strategies to maximize product line growth and profitability. The candidate will identify and evaluate new product opportunities, prioritize and forecast new products, analyze market trends, monitor competitive activity, and perform voice of customer and other research. This position will be responsible for creating a vision, scope, and target specifications for each new product. Additional responsibilities are described below.

Requirements

  • A 4 year degree is required, preferably in a business or engineering field.
  • 5+ years of directly related professional level experience.
  • Should have shown significant technical proficiency, potential for planning, good judgment, willingness to accept responsibility, and the ability to communicate, follow through, and give technical direction.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of the principles and concepts of new product development, product management, and customer.
  • Knowledge of load bank applications, electrical infrastructure and data center commissioning
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows software – Power Point, Excel, Word, Access & Outlook
  • Solid organizational and interpersonal skills and leadership abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Strong preference for candidates with load bank and data center commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the product category innovation strategy and vision, ensuring it aligns with the company's long-term goals and market opportunities
  • Use market knowledge and customer research to identify new product ideas to include in the new product development funnel.
  • Create a 5-year new product roadmap by identifying new product opportunities and evaluating sales potential
  • Develop product line growth strategies by analyzing market trends, technologies, competitors, customer base, channels of distribution, market size, and other industry information
  • Provide direction to new product development teams by providing customer insight, competitive intel, market research, and pricing analysis
  • Create product specifications for new product opportunities
  • Lead voice of customer research to identify new product and product improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking activities and provide analysis to the organization
