About The Position

Pearly is hiring a senior product manager to own Practice Experience: the app dental practice teams use daily, its workflows, and the experience from onboarding through everyday use. The role serves single-location offices, groups and DSOs operating across multiple locations, and outsourced billing companies, while maintaining one adaptable product rather than building separate versions for each customer type. The product manager owns the end-to-end experience, from discovery through release, with autonomy and a broad remit that reaches into Payments, Onboarding, and Integrations. The work includes reducing time to go live and collect, making financial workflows faster and more automated, improving onboarding and in-product support, and determining which capabilities should be standardized, configurable, or not built. The role also partners with Sales, Customer Success, and Implementation to understand deal needs and drive product adoption. The position is accountable for product outcomes across new customer acquisition, time to value and expansion, retention and ROI, and adoption of products that generate value. Measures include offices landed and billed, time to first collection, implementation and rollout efficiency, product usage, days sales outstanding, gross payment volume, collection costs, automated work share, and MRR per office. The role works closely with executive leadership and helps shape product strategy.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience owning a customer-facing app, workflow, or experience product; ideally in a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
  • An outcome-first track record, with examples explaining owned metrics, starting points, decisions, and resulting customer and business impact.
  • Experience building workflow products for professional users managing queues of work at both single-site and enterprise scale.
  • A point of view on permissions and configurability that avoids fragmenting the product.
  • Experience treating onboarding, activation, and support as product surfaces.
  • Experience improving adoption of a feature that users previously did not rely on.
  • Commercial instinct and experience close enough to deals to identify product gaps that affect wins and distinguish demo appeal from long-term customer value.
  • Technical fluency in data models and related tradeoffs, including the ability to reason about direct real-time integrations versus overnight data syncs.
  • Ability to answer questions independently in SQL.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in dental, healthcare, revenue cycle management (RCM), or a similar field.
  • Background in payments, billing, or consumer checkout experiences.
  • Experience with multi-location, multi-tenant, or agency-style customers where one organization administers many accounts.
  • Experience building a customer-facing surface on top of another party’s models or intelligence layer, with a clear perspective on safe autonomy and human-in-the-loop decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Practice Experience app, its workflows, and the customer experience from onboarding through daily use.
  • Own product work end to end, from discovery through release, without day-to-day direction.
  • Determine what should be configured versus defaulted during onboarding and improve the speed at which customers connect their practice management system and reach value.
  • Build in-product guidance that reduces reliance on training calls and improve the experience when data syncs fail or information appears incorrect.
  • Use recurring support volume as a product signal and address underlying causes.
  • Improve how staff find accounts, understand balances, prioritize work, take action, and trust the information they see.
  • Make manual collections work faster and develop automation and products that eliminate repeatable staff work where appropriate.
  • Define permissions, reporting, defaults, and configurability for single offices, groups, DSOs, and outsourced billing companies while avoiding unnecessary product fragmentation.
  • Run discovery with users doing the work and stakeholders accountable for financial outcomes.
  • Participate in sales deals to identify product gaps affecting wins and customer retention.
  • Own workflow design, pressure-test builds before release, and drive adoption with Sales, Customer Success, and Implementation.
  • Diagnose product usage and ROI with the analytics PM and Sales, and translate findings into product priorities.
  • Improve acquisition, time to value, pilot conversion, rollout, retention, ROI, and adoption outcomes.
