Sr. Product Manager - MP Systems Telecollaboration
About The Position
This role is part of the da Vinci® Multiport Global Product Management team, responsible for leading and supporting multiple generations of platform solutions throughout their lifecycle. It is an individual contributor position reporting to a Managing Staff Product Manager. The role requires an upstream strategic and product management expert who will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and provide strategic guidance across the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include developing strategies and implementation plans for the global rollout of Telesurgery, based on thorough analysis of user needs and business objectives. The position involves being a key stakeholder in the development and design stages, acting as a global market expert to inform future portfolio strategy recommendations and budgeting. This role will require international travel.
Requirements
- Demonstrated prior experience in essential job duties.
- Minimum Bachelors degree.
- Minimum 4 years in a medical device role.
- 8 or more years cumulative professional experience.
- Global travel is required.
- Valid passport required.

- Engineering degree.
- Extensive prior experience with leading, supporting or integrating networked products (example telehealth).
- Product Management experience in Medical Device Industry.
- Professional engineering experience in a highly regulated industry (example med device) preferred in software and/or hardware development.
Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of global customer needs and use cases for telecollaboration.
- Drive product requirements based on global customer needs and use cases.
- Gain cross-functional alignment on product requirements and strategies.
- Prepare for commercialization and launch of telecollaboration platforms.
- Consolidate and segment key user needs across global markets for Telecollaboration in Robotics.
- Conduct global market research and consolidate global data sources to address gaps in market understanding.
- Drive the platform-level 5-year roadmap based on global user needs.
- Document market and product requirements, ensuring they balance feasibility, timeliness, and business needs.
- Act as a leader and liaison for engineering, clinical, human factors, UX, cyber, service, regulatory, and commercial partners.
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships to align teams and drive product and user experience.
- Work closely with the engineering development team to ensure key user needs are translated into design requirements.
- Build alignment on the desired user experience.
- Address new developments by quickly understanding and involving the right stakeholders.
- Develop a prioritized roadmap of feature additions for continued development and expansion into new market groups, based on market preparation and early release learnings.
- Directly manage and be accountable for the market introduction of a new Telecollaboration platform into an OUS market.
- Support commercial education, marketing collateral development, and commercial training.
- Facilitate the transition to local commercial teams.
- Support the development of pricing and distribution guidelines.
- Partner with other Product Managers to build a point of view on portfolio fit and strategy among platform solutions.
