About The Position

The Senior Product Design Engineer is the technical lead responsible for the design, development, validation, and commercialization of plumbing products across the Danco and LSP portfolios. Reporting to the Director of Quality & Engineering, this senior individual contributor leads cross-functional product development from concept through production launch, using technical expertise and influence rather than direct authority. The role establishes project direction, aligns stakeholders, removes obstacles, and ensures projects meet schedule, budget, quality, manufacturability, and customer-satisfaction objectives. The position leads engineering design and development, cross-functional project teams, technical decision-making, and product validation. It develops CAD models, drawings, specifications, tolerance analyses, and bills of material; applies DFM, DFA, DFMEA, and value-engineering principles; and collaborates with suppliers and manufacturing teams on tooling, qualification, inspections, pilot builds, and technical problem-solving. The engineer also contributes to engineering standards, mentoring, continuous improvement, and updates to senior leadership. The role is based with the LSP Quality & Engineering team in Irving, Texas, and follows a hybrid schedule, with office attendance Tuesday through Thursday and dedicated and flexible fully remote work weeks.
