About The Position

The Sr Procurement Buyer executes category strategies aligned with Solstice’s business plan, including site procurement. The role develops sourcing plans through spend analysis, benchmarking, and opportunity assessments, and builds multi-year sourcing pipelines focused on productivity, consumption reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement. The position partners with site Operations, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to turn requirements into sourcing strategies and executable plans. It supports sourcing projects, supplier transitions, preferred supplier programs, and category governance. The buyer manages supplier Kaizen Business Alignment Events; negotiates pricing, terms, and service agreements within delegated authority; and executes contracts and SOWs within threshold, coordinating with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Privacy as needed. The role ensures adherence to enterprise contracting policies and platforms, including LEAP, and to regulatory and commercial requirements. It mitigates risk through appropriate contract terms and accurate documentation. It also supports working-capital improvement through payment-term optimization, inventory strategies such as VMI or consignment, and lead-time reduction, while handling site tactical procurement escalations, reconciliations, reporting, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
3–5+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing for indirect categories.
Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement processes.
Fluent English and strong analytical skills.
Must be a U.S. person as defined for U.S. export control compliance: a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or person with protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP Purchasing Modules, and digital sourcing tools such as eRFX, eAuctions, or AI negotiation platforms.

Responsibilities

Execute category strategies aligned to Solstice’s business plan, including site procurement.
Plan sourcing through spend analysis, benchmarking, and opportunity assessments.
Build multi-year sourcing pipelines focused on productivity, consumption reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement.
Partner with site Operations, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to translate requirements into sourcing strategies and executable plans.
Support sourcing projects, supplier transitions, preferred supplier programs, and category governance initiatives.
Establish and manage supplier Kaizen Business Alignment Events.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements within delegated authority levels.
Execute contracts and SOWs within threshold, partnering with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Privacy as needed.
Ensure adherence to enterprise contracting policies and platforms, including LEAP, and regulatory and commercial requirements.
Mitigate risk through appropriate contract terms, including liability, intellectual property, data protection, and export controls, and ensure documentation accuracy.
Improve working capital through payment-term optimization, inventory strategies such as VMI or consignment, and lead-time reduction.
Support site tactical procurement escalations, reconciliations, and reporting; drive root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
