About The Position

The Sr Procurement Buyer executes category strategies aligned with Solstice’s business plan and site procurement plans. The role develops multi-year sourcing pipelines focused on productivity, consumption reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement. It partners with site Operations, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to turn requirements into sourcing strategies and executable plans, and supports sourcing projects, supplier transitions, preferred supplier programs, and category governance initiatives. The position establishes and manages supplier Kaizen Business Alignment Events; negotiates pricing, terms, and service agreements within delegated authority; and executes contracts and statements of work within applicable thresholds. It works with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Privacy as needed, adheres to enterprise contracting policies and platforms such as LEAP, and mitigates contractual and commercial risks while maintaining accurate documentation. The role also improves working capital through payment-term optimization, inventory strategies such as VMI or consignment, and lead-time reduction. It supports site procurement escalations, reconciliations, and reporting, and drives root-cause analysis and preventive actions. Candidates must meet U.S. person eligibility requirements under U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
3–5+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing for indirect categories.
Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement processes.
Fluent English and strong analytical skills.
Must be a U.S. person as defined for compliance with U.S. export control laws: a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or person with protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP Purchasing Modules and digital sourcing tools such as eRFX, eAuctions, or AI negotiation platforms.

Responsibilities

Execute category strategies aligned with Solstice’s business plan and Site Procurement Plan using spend analysis, benchmarking, and opportunity assessments.
Build multi-year sourcing pipelines focused on productivity, consumption reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement.
Partner with site Operations, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to translate requirements into sourcing strategies and executable plans.
Support sourcing projects, supplier transitions, preferred supplier programs, and category governance initiatives.
Establish and manage supplier Kaizen Business Alignment Events.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements within delegated authority levels.
Execute contracts and statements of work within threshold, partnering with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Privacy as needed.
Ensure adherence to enterprise contracting policies and platforms, including LEAP, and applicable regulatory and commercial requirements.
Mitigate risk through appropriate contract terms, including liability, intellectual property, data protection, and export controls, and ensure documentation accuracy.
Improve working capital through payment-term optimization, inventory strategies such as VMI or consignment, and lead-time reduction.
Support site tactical procurement escalations, reconciliations, and reporting; drive root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
