Responsibilities

Fully understand personal and equipment safety for the injection molding process. Position requires stringent adherence to safety protocols.
Establishes processes using best practices
Complete scientific molding studies. (Establishing 1st Stage or Injection Transfer Positions, Pack/Hold Pressure Window, Gate Freeze Study, etc.)
Participates in tooling, resin, and colorant sampling
Understands and Optimizes equipment settings for safety, quality and productivity.
Setting criteria and tolerances for process monitoring
Troubleshoot molds & equipment, clear alarms, process for defects
Communicates and Creates Maintenance Work Orders on equipment and molds.
Completes all required documentation based on procedures and work instructions.
Encourage and support training of employees for development, cross training, and continuous improvement
Works closely with BU Engineer, Maintenance and Tooling
Monitor and take necessary steps to reduce unplanned downtime, scrap and cycle times through effective trouble shooting methods (8D, Design of Experiment, etc.)
Coordinate with Lead and Set Up on change overs and breaks to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Monitor all SPC on equipment and machinery
