About The Position

Ingredion Inc. seeks a Sr. Process Engineer in Indianapolis, IN. This role provides technical support and leadership to achieve safety, quality, production, and cost goals. The engineer will analyze process conditions and operational activities using lean principles, recommend corrective actions for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and troubleshoot processing equipment. They will support Operations and Maintenance in improving process reliability through root cause analysis and ensure daily operational activities meet quality and quantity standards. The role also involves incorporating Safety, Health, and Environmental compliance into process improvements, developing and evaluating process modifications, implementing improvement initiatives, and leading or participating in strategic process studies. Additionally, the engineer will train and mentor operations personnel, participate in continuous improvement teams, and guide less experienced engineers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Biochemistry, Engineering (any field), or a closely related field
Three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
SAP PM Module Knowledge
ISO 22300, ISO 14001, ISO 22001, and ISO 9001
Implement Maintenance and Reliability processes
Manufacturing knowledge
Utilities knowledge
Tribology and Lubrication
Maintenance Budget Control
Failure Mode and Effect Analysis

Responsibilities

Provide technical support and leadership to the department to help achieve safety, quality, production, and cost goals.
Analyze process conditions and operational activities using lean principles and recommending corrective actions to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Troubleshoot processing equipment and support Operations and Maintenance in improving process reliability through root cause analysis.
Support daily operational activities to ensure production of products that meet required quality and quantity standards.
Incorporate Safety, Health, and Environmental compliance requirements into all process improvements.
Perform assignments in accordance with established engineering standards.
Develop, evaluate, and seek approval for process modifications and optimization programs to enhance plant capability and efficiency.
Implement improvement initiatives in collaboration with Operations and Maintenance.
Lead or participate in strategic process studies and improvement efforts.
Train and mentor operations personnel in process techniques and standard operating procedures.
Participate in continuous improvement teams across the company network.
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
