About The Position

Ingredion Inc. seeks a Sr Process Engineer in Bedford Park, IL. This role is responsible for providing technical support to maintenance and operations groups, including process studies, troubleshooting, process optimization, and analysis of historical data to identify, monitor, and control key operating parameters. The engineer will develop Best Operational Practices (BOPs) related to crystallization processes and audit these processes to standard to support consistent delivery and continuous improvement of process outcomes. They will also develop and validate Standard Operating Procedures and complete Management of Change (MOC) to ensure technical proficiency and validity of documentation. A key responsibility is to routinely review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that all processes and documentation adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) and FSSC22000 standards. The role involves leading or serving as a subject-matter-expert for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process deviations and incidents, and leading and facilitating Continuous Improvement problem-solving projects (PDCA, Kaizen, SMED, LSS) that support plant performance enhancement. The engineer will drive and support initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering (any field) or a closely related field
Five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Responsibilities
