About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Print Finisher Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for leading and executing high-quality finishing operations that ensure every project meets customer expectations and company standards. The ideal candidate has extensive bindery and finishing experience, strong technical skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of print finishing or bindery experience, preferably in perfect-bound book production
  • Strong knowledge of commercial print finishing equipment and processes
  • Ability to read job tickets, schedules, purchase orders, and production documents
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Horizon BQ470 and Challenger CMT130 is a plus
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members
  • Knowledge of workflow optimization and production efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot finishing equipment including cutters, folders, stitchers, binders, and laminators
  • Review job tickets and ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time
  • Perform quality control checks on finished products
  • Train and mentor junior finishing technicians
  • Monitor finishing supply inventory and coordinate replenishment needs
  • Maintain equipment performance through preventative maintenance and basic repairs
  • Collaborate with production, design, and press teams to ensure project success
  • Promote workplace safety and maintain a safety-first environment
  • Support production goals, productivity standards, and customer requirements
  • Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production deadlines
