About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Print Finisher Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for leading and executing high-quality finishing operations that ensure every project meets customer expectations and company standards. The ideal candidate has extensive bindery and finishing experience, strong technical skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of print finishing or bindery experience, preferably in perfect-bound book production
- Strong knowledge of commercial print finishing equipment and processes
- Ability to read job tickets, schedules, purchase orders, and production documents
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment

Nice To Haves
- Experience with Horizon BQ470 and Challenger CMT130 is a plus
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
- Experience leading or mentoring team members
- Knowledge of workflow optimization and production efficiency
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot finishing equipment including cutters, folders, stitchers, binders, and laminators
- Review job tickets and ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time
- Perform quality control checks on finished products
- Train and mentor junior finishing technicians
- Monitor finishing supply inventory and coordinate replenishment needs
- Maintain equipment performance through preventative maintenance and basic repairs
- Collaborate with production, design, and press teams to ensure project success
- Promote workplace safety and maintain a safety-first environment
- Support production goals, productivity standards, and customer requirements
- Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production deadlines
