About The Position

Jabil is seeking a technically proficient, detail-oriented Sr. Principal Technical Program Manager in its Intelligent Infrastructure Segment. The role leads the architecture, integration, and delivery of advanced air- and liquid-cooled server rack solutions for large-scale deployments, translating hyperscale data center requirements into robust, scalable, manufacturable systems for next-generation AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and network deployments. The position oversees end-to-end rack development, from customer requirements scoping and initial architecture review through validation and deployment, while driving cross-functional collaboration, technical innovation, and continuous improvement across multiple data center programs. The role coordinates multidisciplinary hardware programs across mechanical, thermal, electrical, networking, supply chain, and manufacturing teams; manages program schedules, risks, dependencies, customer engagement, vendor relationships, and RFP deliverables; and collaborates with factory-based project managers from RFP through NPI completion of FWT. It also involves customer engagements and site visits to understand deployment constraints and obtain design feedback, plus coordination with compliance, shock/vibration, and certification teams to support global regulatory requirements. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field and substantial mechanical systems integration and project management experience are required. The role may require domestic and international travel up to 25%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in mechanical systems integration, potentially including high-density server or rack design and integration and end-to-end delivery for large-scale deployments worldwide.
  • At least 6 years of project management experience involving scope determination, scheduling, budgeting, quality, risk and critical-path management, cross-functional collaboration, and presentations to customers and stakeholders.
  • At least 3 years focused on data center-related projects.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, integration strategies, and program management.
  • Proven ability to take ownership and deliver results in fast-paced, ambiguous, and dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Creative, self-motivated, accountable, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Skill in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural guides.
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to management, clients, and public queries.
  • Ability to influence others and share best practices.
  • Ability to assess projects, articulate risks, and develop project milestones.
  • Familiarity with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management (PLCM).
  • Ability to coach and mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

  • Experience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers (CM).
  • Experience with rack hardware for hyperscale customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex multidisciplinary hardware programs, coordinating mechanical, thermal, electrical, networking, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to align requirements, drive schedules, and deliver integrated rack, network, and cooling solutions.
  • Provide regular program updates to senior leadership, external partners, and internal teams, including risks, blockers, and dependencies.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of data center environments, rack integration and delivery, custom rack/manifold/liquid-cooling product development, and related systems.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and reconcile interdependencies among them.
  • Drive decisions with stakeholders and remove roadblocks to resolve customer issues.
  • Manage programs across cross-functional teams, establish processes, and coordinate schedules.
  • Collaborate with factory-based project managers, supporting programs from RFP through NPI completion of FWT.
  • Manage RFP timelines, milestones, meetings, document repositories, RFIs, and ECNs, and help package RFP deliverables.
  • Participate in customer engagements and site visits to understand deployment constraints and gather feedback for design improvements.
  • Manage relationships with mechanical component vendors, including suppliers of racks, PDUs, switches, cables, and packaging solutions.
