Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently hiring a Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our Division’s Global Supply Chain team. This position is based on site for a hybrid role in Redondo Beach, CA. This is not a remote/telecommuting position. No relocation will be provided.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree and 8+ years of supply chain, contracts, subcontracts, procurement, logistics or other relevant experience. Or in lieu of a degree, 12 years of supply chain, contracts, subcontracts, procurement, logistics or other relevant experience
- Has held a lead role on a project or implementation
- Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system
- MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Nice To Haves
- Supply chain experience for an aerospace and/or defense company
- TS/SCI clearance
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain or an MBA
- CAM/EVMS experience
- Experience in CDRL/SDRL tracking and reporting
- Capture/Proposal experience
Responsibilities
- Day to day support to GSC PM regarding program metrics, CDRL status and completion, sales forecasting, and GSC labor while closely coordinating with/supporting other functions and IPT’s
- May be assigned as a lead of projects that have budgetary and schedule requirements
- Compiles and provides succinct status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports, oftentimes briefing leadership
- Define and execute the material strategy, aligning supply resources with corporate objectives and product line priorities
- Conduct make‑vs‑buy analysis and manage product phase‑in, phase‑out, manufacturing ramp‑up, and end‑of‑life transitions
- Partner with sourcing, operations, and finance to synchronize inventory targets, resolve non‑standard part requirements, and mitigate critical‑path procurements
