About The Position

This role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, taking the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. Remote candidates will be considered for this role with the right level of expertise and experience. This role is contingent on a high-probability award in the Small Form Factor Solutions product line in Q3/Q4 2026. The Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) division has technology, engineering, and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. BAE Systems is seeking a Sr. Prin. Program Planner to join the Program Excellence (Px) organization. The role involves developing and managing multiple Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and supporting new business proposal efforts to meet all program objectives. This includes ensuring major program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across various functional groups such as finance, engineering, manufacturing, integration, and quality. The position requires monitoring program schedule performance, tracking plans and schedules, performing schedule risk analyses, and identifying and resolving critical path and network logic conflicts. Project management techniques like Gantt charts, network diagrams, milestone charts, and earned value management will be utilized to gauge progress and identify performance variances.

Requirements

8+ years’ work experience in Program/Master Planning and Scheduling with Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
Strong proficiency in DoD Program Planning, Critical Path methodology (CPM) and Microsoft Project Online.
Knowledge of US Govt. schedule policies, the Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide (PASEG) and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) requirements.
Prior experience in developing program Integrated Master Schedules (PMB and Proposal) in accordance with the program Statement of Work (SOW), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and program requirements.
Performing and presenting detailed Schedule Risk Analyses (SRAs), inclusive of R&O modeling and recommended action plans for PM/team consideration.
Preparation for and execution of Single Point Adjustment efforts.
Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills to influence program teams and stakeholders.
Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

PMI-PMP or PMI-SP certification
Experience with Microsoft Project Server/Online and Power Bi Dashboards
Experience in Agile planning/execution, Critical Chain Project Management
Demonstrated experience in supporting successful DCMA Audits
Familiarity with the following planning tools: SSI - Presentation Professional, Barbecana Full Monte, SSI -DCMA Analyzer, WBS Pro, Deltek Cobra
Secret Security Clearance
An understanding of program Risk and Opportunities in the IRIS Risk Management tool to effectively track and manage mitigation plans
Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

Lead/facilitate the development and maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline.
Provide comprehensive and actionable schedule performance analysis to project teams and organizational leadership.
Develop proposal schedules and narrative/analysis in support of customer RFP (Request for Proposal) submittents.
Lead IMS preparation and support team training and execution for customer Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs).
Perform independent schedule assessments in support of Phase/Gate project reviews to identify schedule risks and opportunities, analyze schedule health and determine overall execution probability.
Assess schedule risk by, but not limited to, performing Monte Carlo Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA’s), Critical Path Analysis, schedule variance assessments and predictive performance analysis.
Brief project, business area, and functional teams on Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) results and make recommendations on techniques to ensure low-risk execution.
Participate in sector and company functional activities including training, surveillance, tool evaluation, policy reviews, process management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and manage project master schedule reports utilizing SSI tools Presentation Professional.
Ensure all schedules are fully compliant with internal policies, customer, and industry requirements (DiD 81861 IPMR/IPMDAR).
