About The Position

The Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Principal Engineer to join the Engine System Software organization. This role involves serving as the CDS Agile Product Manager for 24K programs within the SAFe Agile Framework. The engineer will act as the internal voice of the Customer, understanding variant needs, IPMT direction, and customer expectations. They will collaborate with the Business Owner (CIPT) and System Architect to translate vision into meaningful Program Features and work with Customers and Product Owners to understand and communicate feature acceptance criteria. The role requires maintaining and communicating a prioritized 24K program level backlog, participating in Agile ceremonies (including Program Increment (PI) planning, Product Owner (PO) Sync, Sprint Reviews), and contributing to software planning, estimating, and tracking. Active participation in feature design reviews is expected. Additionally, the engineer will serve as Cost Account Manager (CAM) and track Earned Value (EV).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and minimum 10+ years prior relevant experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and minimum 7+ years experience.

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Prior experience developing software in an Agile framework
  • Prior safety critical software development experience
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as DO178B
  • Familiarity with jet engine control and diagnostic system architectures and control logic design
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry
  • Background in controls, real-time systems software and safety critical work
  • Active Security Clearance

Responsibilities
