About The Position

The Controls & Diagnostics Systems (CDS) organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Engineer II to join the Engine System Software organization. The qualified candidate will be responsible for decomposing system level and customer interface requirements into software requirements and designs within an Agile Framework. They will conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs, and perform software verification within the Agile Framework including regression analysis, test case development, test script development and evaluation of results. The role involves participation in Agile ceremonies, software planning, estimating and tracking per Agile framework, with the potential to serve as Agile Scrum Master and/or part of the Development Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 2 years of engineering experience or an Advanced degree
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Solid track record of achieving results in a technical role.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high pressure engineering environment.
  • Prior experience developing software in an Agile framework.
  • Prior safety critical software development experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as DO178B.
  • Outstanding cross discipline communication skills.
  • Familiarity with jet engine control and diagnostic system architectures and control logic design.
