We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer – RF Engineer, supporting one of our premier programs at Raytheon, an RTX business. In this role, you will be an active member of the Aperture and RF Team, responsible for RF hardware and software lifecycle management, including analysis, trade studies, design reviews, development, testing, fielding, and operational support. You will play a key role in managing RF software and hardware assets from initial concept through deployment and sustainment, while leading software and hardware management efforts across the program. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with RF software assets, hardware management, and/or supply chain management
  • Experience with RF hardware or software procurement, including cost analysis and risk assessment
  • Experience managing software, firmware, and hardware licenses
  • Experience supporting lifecycle activities from development through fielding and sustainment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing end-to-end lifecycle of software and hardware assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, renewal, and disposal
  • Experience ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience developing metrics and reporting on usage, compliance, and cost efficiency
  • Experience in Vendor and contract management experience, including negotiations and performance evaluation
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity considerations related to software supply chains
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), ITIL, or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the full lifecycle of RF hardware and software assets
  • Conduct analysis, trade studies, and support design reviews across the system lifecycle
  • Lead RF software and hardware management activities, including compliance and optimization
  • Support procurement activities, including cost analysis, risk assessment, and vendor coordination
  • Brief program leadership and customers on status, risks, and recommendations
  • Ensure cost-efficiency and compliance across procurement, deployment, utilization, and disposal
  • Support hardware refresh planning and execution efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, and operations
