About The Position

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the end-to-end lifecycle of complex technical systems involving both hardware and software. This role focuses on systems engineering, technical program execution, and stakeholder coordination, with an emphasis on RF systems, communications infrastructure, and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, preferably in electrical engineering, and experience managing technical development efforts from requirements through testing and deployment.

Requirements

  • Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
  • Must be willing and able to work fully on-site
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) or related technical field
  • 7–20 years of experience in systems engineering or related technical roles
  • Experience supporting the full lifecycle of complex systems involving hardware and software
  • Experience developing requirements, test plans, and technical documentation
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managing technical deliverables
  • Experience conducting system validation, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of RF systems, communications infrastructure, networking, and related technologies
  • Experience supporting customer contracting and acquisition processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor technical documentation for diverse audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple technical efforts across short and mid-term timelines
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with satellite communications or satellite systems
  • Experience with computer networking technologies
  • Familiarity with customer-specific technical tools and environments

Responsibilities

  • Support the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, design, integration, testing, and deployment
  • Develop and manage technical requirements, Statements of Work (SOW), and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal teams to deliver technical solutions on time and within budget
  • Lead and participate in formal program reviews and technical evaluations
  • Develop and execute test plans, coordinate testing activities, and document test results
  • Perform hands-on validation and troubleshooting of technical systems
  • Identify and advocate for innovative technical solutions to meet mission needs
  • Support customer contracting processes, including SSJs and acquisition documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather user requirements and ensure alignment with system capabilities
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in designated areas
  • Support system deployment approvals and coordinate field testing activities
  • Contribute to operations and maintenance (O&M) efforts for deployed systems
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams, partners, and stakeholders
