About The Position

This position reports within the HOSG Pricing team and will be responsible for providing pricing support for After Market business activity. Day to day pricing support will include: financial analysis and proposal recommendations for a variety of products, services and customers across multiple enterprises and may include development, production and/or aftermarket pricing proposals. The candidate will be expected to coordinate and develop pricing recommendations and strategies for review and approval by Customer Business Teams, Marketing & Product Management (M&PM), and Senior Leadership as required, as well as ensure compliance with government contracting regulations. Support will include regular attendance at segment opportunity reviews, providing connectivity between the M&PM organization and business segment leaders, coordinating the assignment of pricing activities to teammates within the pricing organization, collaborating cross-functionally to obtain inputs required to complete pricing activities, and ensuring that pricing activities requiring upper management approval are properly coordinated within the organization. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Driving top line and bottom line growth through the preparation of sound business and financial analysis that is properly balanced between the optimization of Honeywell profitability and the creation of customer value. Preparing FAR15 & FAR12 TINA compliant proposals for prime contractors and US Government agencies and preparing proposals for non-US Government customers. Supporting DCAA/DCMA and prime contractors with audit and fact-find requests. Contributing to the development of the business case, competitive assessment, risk mitigation and negotiation strategy in support of customer business proposals. Developing and implementing value-based pricing principles. Provide negotiation support to customer business teams. Developing positive working relationships with the other functions supporting the business. Driving functional pricing excellence (productivity, margin expansion, consistent methodologies and skill development) through the implementation of continuous improvements utilizing tools and training.

Requirements

  • 5 years of direct related experience in a pricing, finance, accounting, or business analysis role, OR 2.5 years direct government/defense experience.
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or individual with protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status) due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a Business related discipline.
  • Written and verbal English communication skills, including presentation skills, with the ability to quickly and positively influence others.
  • Analytical skills and strong capabilities in Microsoft software suites.
  • SAP knowledge a plus.
  • Experience in cost accounting, pricing or marketing preferred.
  • Previous experience in a government/defense environment a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of government rules & regulations as they pertain to government purchasing (FAR) a plus.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships through teamwork and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in utilizing Six Sigma tools to drive process improvements and problem resolutions.
