About The Position

This is a Senior-level PowerBuilder developer position to provide analysis, support, and maintenance for the IRMS legacy system. The role also involves the development and implementation of the GenTax–IRMS interface under the direction of Virginia Department of Taxation management. The individual will work collaboratively in a team environment as part of Project Lighthouse backfill, which aims to maintain IRMS legacy systems and develop interfaces between GentTax and IRMS systems during the modernization period to support all four rollouts.

Requirements

Hands-on experience developing Powerbuilder applications using PowerBuilder 12.5 or higher (7 years)
Design and develop clear and maintainable code (5 years)
Hands-on experience using Relational Databases, such as Oracle 19C or higher or MySQL or similar (5 years)
Experience developing interfaces to FileNet application (2 years)
Experience developing interface to REST APIs (2 years)
Experience using software project tracking tools such as Azure DevOps (2 years)
Excellent Verbal and written communication skills. Able to coordinate with other application development teams, team leads business analysts (2 years)
Self-motivated and ability to work well in a team (7 years)
Work independently and collaboratively on a multi-disciplined project team in an Agile development environment (7 years)

Nice To Haves

Legagcy IRMS experience (7 years)
Technical knowledge in designing, developing and maintaining TAX processing and revenue management systems
Product knowledge of IRMS system and/or functional knowledge.
