About The Position

The Sr. Permitting Coordinator works with the project team in processing permits for various projects. This position requires an understanding of architecture/engineering and building construction, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to persuasively speak before large groups. The ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships internally and externally. Must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and implement several concurrent projects and exercise sound judgment in prioritizing. Must have a valid driver's license.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a professional architectural/engineering firm
  • Government affairs experience
  • Strong leadership, analytical and negotiating skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to persuasively speak before large groups
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships internally and externally
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and implement several concurrent projects and exercise sound judgment in prioritizing
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and reviewing Due Diligence Reports, Site Investigation Reports (SIR), Signage Processes permit, projects, reports and correspondences with regulatory agencies and personnel at the local, state and federal level, assuring that all processes and procedures are documented and adhere to regulations.
  • File reports and letters with regulatory agencies and are imperative to daily business functions.
  • Addresses all questions and correspondences dealing with specific permits and projects.
  • Meets with clients regarding all issues of the permit process.
  • Creates reports needed to comply with Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Collects and reviews all plans, permits, and reports before sending them to agencies.
  • Represents company in in-house and outside meetings with agencies, vendors, clients, and industry personnel.
  • Attends meetings with different agencies and personnel with the purpose of expediting the permit process.
  • Assists in site visits inherent with pre-application meetings and SIR’s.
  • Prioritizes projects in regard to timeline and budget.
