About The Position

The Permitting Coordinator supports complex capital projects by managing permit application processes from submission through approval. Acting as a Permit Lead for assigned scopes, this role coordinates with internal project leads, external engineering partners, and regulatory agencies to ensure permit deliverables are complete, compliant, and approved on schedule. The Permitting Coordinator drives resolution of planning and plan‑review comments, facilitates technical coordination across multiple permit scopes, and provides day‑to‑day execution support to the Project Permitting Manager. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Requirements

  • A recognized degree in architecture or engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 10+ years of progressive work experience, coordinating large scale project permitting applications, working with AHJ, state regulators, client and engineering teams.
  • Knowledgeable in industry and regulatory codes and standards, as well as facilitating coordination for necessary permitting approvals.
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication.
  • Prior experience in projects in one or more of the following market segments: Semiconductor, AI Data Center, Life Sciences / Pharma or EV Batteries.
  • Must have the right to work and remain in the US without sponsorship.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, fire codes, and permitting processes
  • Experience supporting or leading permit submissions for complex industrial or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with regulatory plan‑review workflows and comment resolution cycles
  • Experience coordinating technical deliverables produced by external consultants or engineering partners
  • Understanding of design development and construction sequencing as it relates to permitting
  • Proficiency with permitting trackers, document management systems, or review portals

Nice To Haves

  • Professional license in an appropriate discipline from a recognized licensing board (or international equivalent) is preferred.

  • Coordinate the following Permits for a major semiconductor project.
  • Environmental Permits:Waterways, wetlands, noise, erosion and storm water, cultural resources, soils – contaminated/reuse, batch plant, plus third-party local sub.
  • Engineering Permits:Design, air and water discharge
  • Construction permits:Fuel storage, temp trailers, access/entrance, and traffic control, building codes and occupancy permits, utility hook ups
  • Owner Supported Permits:Early project approvals, operational permits, etc.
