About The Position

As a Sr. Performance Engineer, you will assess and enhance the performance, scalability, and site reliability of software applications. You will design and execute performance tests, analyze performance metrics, and work with development and operations teams to optimize system performance. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to define testing objectives, reporting findings, and improving performance testing practices. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering, with a proven track record of identifying and resolving performance issues in complex systems.
Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Azure Load Testing, Dynatrace, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar.
Strong understanding of performance metrics, including response time, throughput, and latency, and how to interpret them.
Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, or C# for test automation and performance scripting.
Knowledge of system architecture, including web servers, databases, and network infrastructure, and how they affect performance.
Strong analytical skills to diagnose performance issues and provide data-driven recommendations.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional development, operations, and QA teams.
Proficiency in generating and presenting performance test reports to various stakeholders.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices, and experience integrating performance testing into Agile sprints.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute performance tests to evaluate system performance, scalability, and reliability under various conditions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance testing requirements and objectives based on application and system specifications.
Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Work with development and operations teams to optimize application performance, including tuning code, configurations, and infrastructure.
Use performance testing tools to create and execute tests, and evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to improve testing processes.
Generate detailed performance reports, present findings to stakeholders, and provide insights into performance trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and system administrators to understand system architecture and integrate performance testing into development and release cycles.
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in performance testing and optimization, and contribute to improving testing strategies and processes.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
