Requirements

High School Graduate or Equivalent
CMA or CNA
ICD-10 and CPT-4 Coding / Insurance Billing Knowledge
Previous Healthcare Experience

Responsibilities

Greets patient and verifies identification.
Completes appropriate registration form(s).
Schedules examinations in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
Answers telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
Orders and maintains office supplies.
Relays pertinent clinical information provided by patient at time of examination to the technologist.
Determines the type of imaging study necessary for each patient after reviewing the patient's written order.
Prepares paperwork for technologists.
Performs a variety of administrative tasks such as patient registration, data entry into the Radiology Information System, log entries, and maintains record keeping and filing systems for all exams.
