About The Position

This role is in Textron System’s Marine & Land Systems business area. A Sr Painter’s primary area of expertise is painting, but under general supervision they are expected to perform any tasks assigned by management based on business needs.

Requirements

Formal craft training and 3 plus years of related experience.
Ability to read blueprints and sketches, shop orders and perform shop mathematics.
Must be willing to work rotating shifts.

Nice To Haves

High school graduate or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Painting, sand blasting, spray painting using conventional and airless equipment, pulling blast/paint lines, mixing paint, pressure washing, preparing surface for application of coatings and specialty cleaning.
Performs equipment maintenance.
Utilizes hand tools such as psychrometer, profile and mil gauge, disk sander, wire brush, grinders, scaling gun, needle nose, crescent wrench, and pliers in the performance of the job.
Must be able to work from Engineering drawings, sketches and follow written and verbal instructions.
Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accomplish the task or work with little or no prior notification.
Maintain records, forms and logs as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Perform work in confined space.
