About The Position

Themis Insight is hiring a Sr. Network Engineer (Cisco & Network Security) to work in Fort Meade, Maryland. The position location may change based on the needs of the client in central Maryland. A TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required. The engineer provides network management across design, implementation, maintenance, and upgrades. The role includes developing and deploying scalable network solutions; configuring, maintaining, and securing network hardware and software; analyzing network designs and characteristics; troubleshooting issues; monitoring performance and traffic; and maintaining network diagrams, documentation, policies, procedures, and accreditations. The engineer also designs, integrates, tests, deploys, and maintains network devices and solutions that support software engineering environments and mission operations. The role focuses on network performance, security, and reliable dataflow across WAN and LAN environments. It involves implementing solutions such as load balancing, VPNs, firewall contexts, traffic shaping, VoIP, GRE tunneling, IPSec, MoIP, NAT, and network acceleration; coordinating with system engineering, dataflow organizations, end customers, repositories, and tasking organizations; and helping minimize downtime and adverse system-wide impacts. The engineer leads complex and dynamic efforts, resolves advanced network problems, assists system engineers and cross-organizational teams in defining requirements, and provides guidance to junior network engineers. The position also includes inspecting received material for evidence of tampering and immediately reporting suspected physical or COMSEC incidents, conducting inventories as directed, validating dataflows and formats, and integrating hardware and software in accordance with ISO 9000 and applicable DoD/IC regulations.
