Requirements

Eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Good oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Good customer service skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversees loading and unloading of cargo from ships and other forms of transit to document damages.
Inspects damaged ships to determine cause of the damage and amount of damage resulting from collisions or motor failures.
Provides written reports to underwriters and other parties with his/her qualified opinion as to the cause of loss.
Receives and reviews new claims and maintains data integrity in the claims system.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supports the organization's quality program(s).
Travels as required.
