Sr Molding Technician - 3rd Shift (Tues - Sat)
About The Position
The Sr Molding Technician works in Product Test & Calibration within Cardinal Health Manufacturing. The function is responsible for production costs and maintenance activities, including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and calibrates production equipment, and may assist with machine maintenance and cleanup of minor chemical spills and equipment. This role processes injection molding machines within validated parameters, troubleshoots processes using scientific molding techniques, supports production-floor setup and inventory monitoring, and assists engineering with molding validations. The position is scheduled from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, Tuesday through Saturday.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with injection molding processes.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to work the stated schedule: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, Tuesday through Saturday.

Responsibilities
- Process injection molding machines within validated mold-process parameters.
- Troubleshoot injection molding processes using scientific molding techniques.
- Set up the production floor and monitor kanban and shop-order levels.
- Assist engineering with molding validations, following company procedures and using scientific molding techniques.
- Attend tier meetings and communicate production-floor needs to management to support production goals and continuous improvement.
- Safely set molds in machines when needed using a hoist and the proper clamping method.
- Assist with root-cause investigations of quality defects on the production floor.
- Apply company policies and knowledge to varied tasks, follow quality guidelines, and maintain relevant licenses, training, and certifications.
- Work with limited supervision and may provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members.
