About The Position

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining the operation of industrial equipment throughout the Distribution Center. The role includes maintaining and inspecting building systems and facilities, identifying facility needs or potential problem areas, and helping keep the department compliant with OSHA requirements. The position works with minimal supervision, contributes hands-on, follows directions from the Maintenance Manager, and communicates with upper management daily. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The pay range is $24–$26 per hour.

Requirements

• CAL OSHA certification on a Reach and/or Order Picker/Walker Rider equipment, etc.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and contribute hands-on.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to be detail-oriented, perform housekeeping duties when needed, and take constructive criticism.
• Ability to work professionally and courteously.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 4–5+ years of maintenance experience.

Nice To Haves

• Training or schooling in electricity or electric control panels.
• Specific knowledge of scanners and print-and-apply machines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the operation of industrial equipment throughout the Distribution Center.
• Perform general roof inspections, including roof drains, exhaust fans, air conditioning, and roof membrane.
• Perform facilities maintenance involving landscaping, plumbing, painting, carpentry, lighting, drywall, concrete repairs and coatings, high-bay racking, and roll-up doors.
• Carry out janitorial and housekeeping duties, including managing janitorial requirements and supplies.
• Support building safety and the safety of all personnel.
• Identify facility needs and potential problem areas.
• Use shop tools as needed.
• Help keep the department OSHA compliant and follow company policies and procedures, with an emphasis on safety.
• Communicate with upper management daily and take direction from the Maintenance Manager.
• Complete other special projects and general requests from the direct supervisor as needed.
