For more information, visit www.ebayinc.com About the Opportunity eBay’s Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C) team is building a free, smart, safe, and fun selling experience, delivered through an extraordinary value proposition. We’re seeking a Sr Manager Strategy & Planning to lead a high-performing C2C initiative and support the strategy of this next-generation selling experience. Reporting to the Sr Director Global C2C, this is a key role that will lead the planning and insights engine for global consumer-to-consumer selling, turning competitive and market signals into clear playbooks, priorities, and partner-aligned execution.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in planning or program leadership within consumer technology or e-commerce.
  • Leadership of annual/quarterly planning governance, turning insights into prioritized decisions.
  • Strong analytical toolkit: KPI frameworks, dashboarding, deep‑dive analysis, and decision‑oriented narratives.
  • Demonstrated success in competitive intelligence and roadmap influence.
  • Experience driving automation and AI adoption to improve operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional executive communication and partner management across Product, Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Risk, CX, and regional teams.
  • Comfortable operating in global/local models, balancing central strategy with local market execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the C2C Playbook strategy definition: defining pillars and guardrails. Produce the playbook, align cross-functionally, and refresh quarterly.
  • Define planning process optimization: refine annual/quarterly mechanics, improve intake and prioritization templates, and strengthen governance cadence.
  • Partner with internal insights and competitor intel teams to build a scalable competitive intelligence program - publish a recurring digest, and translate insights into roadmap implications.
  • Maintain demo profile accounts for key competitors to inform benchmarking.
  • Partner with GCI on the C2C research roadmap and plan to inform strategy development.
  • Run an Insights/Requirements feedback loop: structured intake from sellers/buyers/markets, centralized insights, and formal reviews with Local C2C teams, Seller Experience and Geo Expansion teams.
  • Identify customer experience gaps and provide strategy support to the Selling Experience team.
  • Lead C2C discovery for new selling and buying experiences, including competitive deep dive, use-case definition, business case assessment.
  • Drive AI adoption and automation across the initiative and within the team, including enabling self‑service analytics/insights across the team.
  • Act as key partner for Analytics & Finance, Marketing (planning and performance), Regulatory & Risk (seller comms), GCX, and relevant external partners.
  • Build strong working relationships across Product, Global Markets, analytics, and other partners to drive effective execution and shared outcomes
