About The Position

ProAmpac is seeking a full-time Senior Functional Analyst for MES to support and enhance the technology that keeps their 60+ manufacturing sites running. This role involves designing future-state data flows for production, quality, and traceability, and working directly with plant operations and technical teams to ensure MES solutions are reliable, integrated, and capable of driving long-term operational efficiency. This is a remote opportunity.

Requirements

• 7+ years in MES, manufacturing systems, or industrial IT environments.
• Proven track record in requirements definition, process mapping, and functional analysis.
• Strong understanding of shop-floor operations and production lifecycles.
• Ability to bridge the gap between technical developers and non-technical operational leaders.
• A structured, analytical approach to troubleshooting complex system interactions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition.
• Familiarity with ERP integration, CMMS, or QMS.
• Knowledge of SCADA, IIoT, or industrial data analytics.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
• Experience in packaging or high-volume process manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and enhance existing MES solutions across a multi-site environment, focusing on production tracking, quality, and traceability.
• Analyze and document complex manufacturing workflows to translate operational needs into clear functional specifications.
• Support the critical data flows between MES, ERP, and industrial automation platforms (SCADA/IIoT).
• Participate in the configuration and deployment of new MES functionalities, ensuring they align with broader digital transformation goals.
• Define test scenarios and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure system changes meet floor requirements.
• Lead workshops and discussions with plant managers and shop-floor teams to identify optimization opportunities.
