The IT Functional Analyst - Manufacturing plays a critical role in ensuring that Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) effectively support real plant operations across the network. Acting as the primary interface between plant teams and IT, this role gathers, validates, and translates manufacturing requirements into clear, structured functional specifications for delivery teams. The role is accountable for ensuring that MES solutions are aligned with shopfloor reality, usable by operations teams, and successfully adopted in production environments. This includes leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with plant stakeholders, driving change management and training activities, and supporting deployment and hypercare phases. Working closely with delivery teams, architects, and operations support, the IT Functional Analyst - Manufacturing ensures that solutions are not only technically sound, but also operationally effective. The role also acts as the first point of functional escalation for MES-related issues and plays a key role in identifying continuous improvement opportunities based on plant feedback and operational performance.
