This role is onsite in Lafayette, Colorado, and requires up to 25% travel. This position has the responsibility and authority to apply technical expertise towards software development, networking and network infrastructure solutions of technical problems. This position will involve working with customers on implementing and integrating products into their environment supporting the CST Operating Unit for the post-sale and implementation process. The Sr. Medical Device Connectivity Specialist is responsible for contributing to the development of network design and solutions to support development of cutting-edge products used in the medical field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, including occasional short-notice travel

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based storage, connectivity, and major platforms (Linux, Windows, macOS, Cloud)
  • Experience with VPN implementation (server/client), including integration of heterogeneous network and VPN solutions
  • Solid understanding of core network services and protocols (DNS, LDAP, IPSEC, SSL)
  • Expertise in network routing, VLAN configuration, and administration
  • Experience with Active Directory and enterprise system administration
  • Background in automating data center provisioning and administration
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with software, systems, and test engineering teams
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and customer-facing skills
  • Knowledge of privacy, security, and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, FDA, ISO)
  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, or hospital IT environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with business stakeholders and customers

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, testing, and documenting network systems and system components.
  • Assisting in requirements gathering, estimating, and planning efforts.
  • Completing Information Security Agreements and related questionnaires from customers
  • Interfacing with software development, systems engineering and test engineers.
  • Participating in on-going professional development activities.
  • Following Medtronic product development standards and practices.
  • Willingness and ability to assume increased responsibility.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
  • All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System.
  • Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.
