About The Position

Thermo King is seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join its Application & Durability Testing Team. Working closely with technicians, the engineer will own test development, execution, and reporting for application and durability test cells. The role calls for foresight, attention to detail, hands-on technical ability, experience in a testing environment, and familiarity with new product development processes.

The position is on-site five days per week. It is designated as Safety Sensitive and may require additional drug screening.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in a relevant Engineering or Engineering Technology discipline.
• Five to seven years of engineering experience in mechanical, electrical, or a similar discipline.
• At least three years of experience in a testing environment, such as HVAC, NVH, vehicle testing, powertrain, or aerospace.
• Experience with engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on technical experience with fabrication, machining, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan tests and provide logistics support for Application & Durability.
• Coordinate prototype builds that support product verification and validation.
• Obtain and clarify customer requirements and adapt them into testing methods in collaboration with Design Verification Plan (DVP) owners.
• Develop product- and build-specific test procedures, adapting standard work to the capabilities of test articles.
• Provide hands-on technical support to the test facility and help ensure correct, efficient execution of test plans.
• Create clear, concise reports communicating test outcomes.
