About The Position

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end development, enhancement, and support of product and solution offerings, ensuring they meet functional, reliability, and cost-effectiveness standards. The role works with internal and external stakeholders to define technical requirements, resolve design challenges, and deliver high-quality solutions through testing, validation, and risk management. It also supports the product lifecycle through accurate documentation, monitoring emerging technologies, and providing technical support and training to customers and cross-functional teams, while upholding quality and data management requirements.

The position collaborates across departments and with customers to capture user needs, investigate failures, improve designs, and support the sales and lifecycle of BlueSpark® products and solutions. Employees may also perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the organization’s ongoing needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to define specifications and scope requirements for new projects and solutions.
• Investigate and analyze reported failures and identify opportunities to improve or enhance existing product designs.
• Design and deliver timely, cost-effective solutions that meet functionality and reliability goals, supported by testing and validation.
• Identify and mitigate risks and hazards throughout development and the product or solution lifecycle, including contributing detailed hazard analysis to risk management content.
• Specify, procure, and evaluate components or technologies for integration into existing products and solutions, and manage vendor issues as needed.
• Train, troubleshoot, and provide technical support to internal and external customers.
• Collaborate across levels and departments to capture user needs, identify challenges, and implement improvements supporting BlueSpark® products and solutions.
• Create, review, revise, and maintain required documentation, specifications, and schematics for accuracy and compliance with PDM and QMS.
• Monitor relevant and emerging technologies and trends, and participate in industry events, conferences, and committees to maintain technical knowledge.
