About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring customers have continuous access to the innovation they rely on. The Global Engineering Strategy team (GES) is seeking a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) focused Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead front-end engineering CFD studies, mechanical system selection, and site design strategy for new owned and leased site developments. This role involves performing site and building CFD modeling, water use calculations, equipment selection, and concept sketching. The engineer will develop CFD Scopes of Work (SoW), manage external vendors, and provide detailed report documents and design specifications as a subject matter expert. The position requires collaboration with GES project leads and other design partners to implement site CFD design strategy. The engineer will propose and analyze solutions for energy-efficient, cost-effective, and scalable site designs, and present findings to leadership while ensuring current systems meet performance standards.
