About The Position

This role provides mechanical engineering support for new product development and factory support of existing products. The position involves translating product requirements into mechanical specifications and test plans, executing verification testing, and conducting design analysis and testing (structural and thermal) to ensure designs meet customer requirements. The engineer will be responsible for understanding customer needs, generating and executing test procedures, and processing engineering change orders (ECOs). Collaboration with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field, or have completed their Master's degree within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development activities and factory support of existing products.
  • Translate product requirements into a mechanical specification and test plan for development.
  • Execute verification testing as defined by the mechanical specification and test plan.
  • Conduct design analysis and testing, both structural and thermal, to prove design will meet customer requirements.
  • Understand customer needs, generate test procedures, and execute testing.
  • Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECOs) as required.
  • Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.
