Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Electrophysiology is recruiting for a Sr. Manager, Sustainability Advisor. This role is remote/field based; however, candidates must be located in the Eastern Time Zone to effectively support business needs and operations. The Johnson & Johnson MedTech (JJMT) serves as the original manufacturer and reprocessor of medical devices, helping health systems control costs while advancing their environmental sustainability objectives. Sterilmed, Inc., part of the JJMT Companies, pioneered the reprocessing market and now operates as JJMT’s Sustainability Solutions. This division provides commercial support, enabling JJMT franchises to lead reprocessing programs for their customers. JJMT has reinvented the reprocessing (RPO) model by offering customized solutions that provide reprocessed single-use medical devices from both JJMT and other original manufacturers, giving customers more options to maximize their reprocessing programs. The Sr. Manager, Sustainability Solution Advisor is a team leader of Sustainability Specialists, who are the customer facing team responsible for executing the JJMT reprocessing strategy and managing all aspects of a reprocessing program in a specified geographic area. Activities include the promotion, selling, supporting and servicing of the JJMT Reprocessing portfolio to new and existing customers. This position will work in cooperation with the JJMT Franchise Field Sales, and Sustainability Field Service in developing and maintaining key strategic business relationships adhering to Health Care Compliance guidelines.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
  • A minimum of 8 years of related work experience required
  • Experience analyzing and tracking sales data with the ability to take appropriate action to correct negative sales trends required
  • Prior experience in the medical device industry is required
  • In-depth understanding of sales and account management principles and practices within the healthcare industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of contracting with health systems.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop sales associates to enhance their performance and contribution.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, handling customer objections and complaints with a track record of successfully increasing sales.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly for presentations, sales reporting, and tracking large scale initiatives to promote accountability and execution.
  • Platform presentation skills - Demonstrated ability to educate hospital staff, nurse, and physicians on the scientific and financial benefits of the products and services offered
  • Proficient in accessing and analyzing data to inform business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to form and grow long term customer relationships through successful problem solving along with the ability to develop and execute a corrective action plan leading to a successful problem resolution
  • Capacity to formulate and execute corrective action plans that lead to successful problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the accomplishment of annual business plan objectives related to sales, gross profit, and pricing, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Spearhead initiatives to enhance JJMT value creation and growth at the GPO/IDN level through integrated JJMT reprocessing offerings.
  • Serve as the primary expert on reprocessing, collaborating closely with the JJMT franchise field sales and account management team to identify, plan, pursue, and execute GPO/IDN reprocessing opportunities, including conversions and carve-outs.
  • Oversee and execute deal development processes to support the execution of the RPO strategy and meet the financial objectives while adhering to HCC and CPC guidelines. Lead RFP responses to attract and secure new account wins.
  • Lead a team of Sustainability Specialists by providing direction and coaching to execute the sales and account management processes that builds customer loyalty.
  • Cultivate excellent relationships with franchise sales leaders, key supply chain leaders, and other hospital personnel to enhance collaboration and communication.
  • Proactively anticipate and address account issues by developing, communicating, implementing, and monitoring corrective action plans to enhance customer savings.
  • Oversee the implementation of new programs beyond contract execution, including conducting savings analyses, gaining consensus on approved devices, developing clinical education strategies, and managing procurement processes. Facilitate routine business reviews with facilities and IDNs.
  • Analyze account needs and understand the roles of physicians, nurses, support staff, and hospital administration to develop tailored solutions that meet both short- and long-term objectives.
  • Monitor hospital strategies and marketplace developments, collaborating with business partners to refine account strategies and adapt to changes.
  • Be a subject matter expert in sustainability solutions, leveraging organizational resources for effective account development while adhering to company policies and procedures (e.g., Business Conduct Policy, HCC).
  • Commit to nurturing a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and inclusivity.
  • Adhere to Johnson & Johnson policies and procedures, ensuring all work activities are compliant with established guidelines.
  • Complete required training in a timely manner for changes in policies, new assignments, and implementation of updated procedures. Participate in periodic re-training, particularly in areas related to environmental health and safety.
  • Follow all company safety policies and precautions within the work environment, advocating for safety practices among all associates and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as Company guidelines pertaining to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices.
