About The Position

As a member of CIBC Bank US team, the Sr. Manager, Software Engineering is a senior technology leader responsible for delivering complex, enterprise-scale Client onboarding and compliance solutions across Commercial Banking platforms. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, overseeing the design, build, integration, delivery, and support of business-critical applications such as Commercial Client Onboarding, including third party vendor integrations, new builds, enhancements, and modernization efforts. The successful candidate will lead a team of Software Engineers delivering solutions for digital onboarding, workflow orchestration, KYC/AML integration, document management, identity and access integration, and downstream connectivity into FIS core banking systems. The role requires strong experience in Commercial banking, architecture, integration engineering, cloud/platform delivery, secure API design, and FIS banking systems, along with the ability to coach teams and partner closely with business, product, compliance, architecture, security, and vendor stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in application development, with significant experience leading Banking enterprise platforms and integration-heavy solutions
  • 3+ years in people leadership or managing technical teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience in enterprise application architecture and delivery.
  • Experience delivering solutions in the following domains: client onboarding / CLM (client lifecycle management) / compliance / KYC / AML systems, banking or financial services platforms workflow and case management platforms, document management and e-signature solutions
  • Strong knowledge of: API and integration architecture, REST/JSON services, event-driven and batch integration patterns, Microsoft Azure cloud services and distributed systems architecture
  • Experience with vendor/platform integrations and enterprise ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps, release management, and environment promotion practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams while remaining deeply involved in solution delivery.
  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field.
