As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will provide organizational and technical leadership for multiple software engineering teams developing products and capabilities within a regulated medical technology environment. This role is responsible for building engineering talent, establishing technical direction, driving execution, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that support business and portfolio objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
5 years of people leadership experience.

Knowledge of software lifecycle and quality standards, including International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 62304 and IEC 82304.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

Lead multiple software engineering teams and provide direction, coaching, and performance management for engineers, technical leads, and emerging leaders.
Establish engineering strategies, development practices, and technical standards that support scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
Oversee software development activities across multiple programs, ensuring alignment to quality objectives, delivery commitments, and business priorities.
Partner with product, quality, regulatory, clinical, operations, and security stakeholders to define requirements, priorities, and implementation plans.
Drive continuous improvement through adoption of modern software engineering practices, automated testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and operational excellence initiatives.
Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, project dependencies, and risk mitigation activities across teams and programs.
Ensure compliance with applicable software development processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, including audit and inspection readiness.
Communicate program status, key metrics, risks, and strategic recommendations to engineering and business leadership.
