About The Position

As a Senior Manager, Project Manager at Capital One, you will apply your project, program management and analytical skills to major company challenges. You will lead a team with world-class professionals to develop and deliver strategies and projects that ultimately impact the bottom line. You will do it all in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation. In this Senior Manager role, you will lead initiatives in the Partnerships business supporting commercial and consumer partners and customers including launches and conversions. You will apply your project and analytical skills to partner with Product, Tech, Operations, and General Managers to deliver the best customer experiences for our Partnership customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in Project Management
  • At least 3 years of Relationship Management experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in People Management
  • At least 2 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis

  • Master’s Degree or MBA
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management
  • 4+ years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal and external business clients
  • 4+ years of experience in People Management
  • 3+ years of experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • 2+ years of experience with project management platforms (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence)
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

Responsibilities

  • Develop business strategies to drive growth and improve customer experience success for Capital One, adapting to shifting consumer and regulatory behavior.
  • Lead and manage horizontal and vertical projects, including launches and conversions, that benefit specific partners or organizational-wide initiatives.
  • Coordinate across Partnerships, the Card business, and other LOBs, leveraging best practices and capabilities for our partner customers and strategic imperatives.
  • Oversee and manage multiple projects and programs concurrently.
  • Drive positive engagement with internal and external partners through effective communication, managing expectations, and proactively mitigating risks/issues.
  • Develop business cases to articulate the value of strategies and project ideas.
  • May manage and develop a team of associates or serve as an individual contributor.
  • Coach and mentor associates throughout the organization with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One.
