Requirements

  • 10+ years of finance experience or 6+ years of relevant financial product steering/controlling.
  • Knowledge in different automotive technology and market topics (production and material cost, market trends and strategies, automotive process knowledge, cost market strategy, portfolio strategy).
  • Strong skills in leading decision-making cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent presentation skills to executives and board.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel including financial modeling, business case creation, scenario & sensitivity analysis, and lookback evaluation.
  • Aptitude to accurately compile, translate, and present financial information clearly and succinctly, often in PowerPoint, to a broad audience including non-finance professionals.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Experience working in an international setting.
  • Knowledge of VW Group processes (PEP).
  • Experience with Finance Enterprise Resource Programs (e.g. SAP).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of specialists in compiling and reporting product portfolio costs (development, procurement, manufacturing) against targets, considering volume, pricing, material costs, and other project costs to achieve financial goals such as return on sales, NPV, ROI, and funding requirements.
  • Steer financial agreements for allocations, licensing, and module topics with VW AG counterparts.
  • Coordinate milestone activities and timing for the product controlling team to ensure financial deadlines are met and SOP remains on target.
  • Maintain project categorization through the Cash Registry.
  • Lead and provide recommendations for accessories business activities, interfacing with finance to consolidate return on sales portfolio and track targets.
  • Support coordination across R&D, Design, Product Marketing, Quality NOVI, and Product Management for controlling activities to ensure annual budgetary goals are met and forecasts are submitted on time.
  • Provide financial recommendations to support investment decisions up to 10M EUR per decision and represent the main committee.
  • Support launch/pre-series activities between MST LF and SOP+3 to ensure sufficient funding and a stable launch.
  • Coordinate planning rounds activities as the lead for the product finance interface.
  • Support AKO investment tracking processes and target transfer processes.
  • Promote automated digitalization efforts for efficiency by introducing fast-tracked systems for data compilation and reporting.
  • Coordinate continuous process flow and communication as the interface to VW AG.
