About The Position

Anthropic is seeking a Lease Administrator to manage the operational aspects of its Infrastructure Compute lease portfolio, which includes data centers, co-location facilities, and GPU/TPU equipment finance leases. This role is part of the Infrastructure Compute Procurement team and collaborates closely with the Infrastructure Accounting team. While decision-making on renewals and commercial terms remains with Infrastructure and Workplace teams, this role is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, tracking critical dates, auditing bills, and processing payments on time.

Requirements

  • Experience implementing or operating a Lease Management System (LMS) such as CoStar, Workday Lease, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in identifying and documenting billing errors, including CAM discrepancies and incorrect invoice amounts, supported by lease language.
  • Sufficient familiarity with ASC 842 to support an accounting team, identify upstream data issues, and maintain a defensible subledger.
  • Fluency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes, understanding payments, Purchase Orders (POs), and GL coding, with the ability to collaborate with a Finance Systems team to resolve upstream data issues.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, technical environment with landlords who are hyperscalers and hardware vendors.
  • Prior experience in a SOX-compliant environment with documented lease controls.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of lease administration experience, covering data center/colo, equipment, or multi-category real estate portfolios.
  • Direct experience with data center or co-location lease operations.
  • Workday Financials / Workday Lease experience.
  • Creativity with automation, reporting, and efficiency using AI tools (preferably Claude).
  • Experience in a high-growth tech company where the portfolio grew faster than the process.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, understanding GPUs, TPUs, and their lease term implications.

Responsibilities

  • Lease abstraction and system data hygiene: Ingest new leases and amendments into the Lease Management System (LMS) with accurate data, maintaining a single source of truth for all portfolio categories.
  • Critical-date tracking and routing: Monitor renewal windows, option deadlines, and notice periods, flagging and routing decisions to relevant stakeholders (Infra/Workplace) with sufficient lead time.
  • Landlord billing audits: Review landlord invoices against lease terms, dispute discrepancies, and reconcile CAM charges for co-location and real estate properties.
  • Rent payment processing and AP coding: Ensure accurate and timely processing of rent and lease payments, maintaining correct General Ledger (GL) coding at the source.
  • Landlord billing operations and payment escalations: Manage payment workflows and escalate commercial disputes to the appropriate Infra or Workplace relationship owner.
  • Lease system data stewardship and Workday integration: Maintain synchronization between the LMS and Workday/ERP systems.
  • Support the accounting team's close cycle with clean subledger data and timely inputs.
