About The Position

Workday is seeking a Sr. Manager, Partner Solution Consulting to lead a pod of Partner AI Architects, Partner AI Advisors, and Business Value Architects within the Partner AI Experience team. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Partner AI Experience and works closely with the Global Partner Organization (GPO). The team provides technical, functional, and quantitative expertise to accelerate strategic GSI and Ecosystem partnerships, enabling partners to build and sell Workday AI with confidence and speed. The AI Pod Manager will ensure partner SC teams can speak credibly about Workday's roadmap and AI capabilities, facilitate seamless demo flows, sharpen Workday's positioning against competitors, and provide business case clarity for partner investments. The role requires a leader adept at strategic enablement and coaching through complex functional and technical use cases.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in presales, value management, or a similar role at Workday or a comparable enterprise software company.
  • 2+ years of people leadership or team mentorship experience.
  • 2+ years working with or within Global System Integrators, large SIs, or strategic alliance partners (vendor side or from within a GSI practice).
  • 2+ years of domain expertise in HCM, Financials, ERP, or enterprise AI solutions.
  • Ability to engage credibly with GSI practice leadership, CTOs, and offering development leads as a peer and trusted advisor, grounded in deep Workday product knowledge, prior consulting experience, or both.
  • Strong command of enterprise AI competitive dynamics and how Workday differentiates against key platforms.
  • Experience designing and delivering partner readiness programs that build durable, self-sufficient capability within a partner or customer organization.
  • Familiarity with value engineering, business case development, or ROI modeling.
  • Highly collaborative working style with demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple internal organizations (e.g., GPO, Product & Technology, Sales, CX, Forward Deployed teams).
  • Ability to create structure, drive clarity, and iterate quickly in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a pod of approximately six specialists (Partner AI Architects, Partner AI Advisors, Business Value Architects), setting clear strategy, priorities, and execution rhythm.
  • Ensure partner SC and architect teams have early visibility into Workday's product roadmap and AI capabilities for confident client conversations.
  • Develop and deliver readiness programs, including architect-tier sessions and persona-based playbooks (CIO, CFO, CHRO), translating Workday capabilities into outcome-driven narratives.
  • Ensure partner demo environments bridge seamlessly from Workday-delivered product to GSI-delivered solutions for credible end-to-end demonstrations.
  • Equip partner teams with sharp, current competitive positioning against key platforms like SAP, Oracle, and ServiceNow.
  • Serve as a first line of defense for partners by fielding competitive objections, functional questions, and technical issues encountered with clients.
  • Help partner practice and offering leaders understand Workday's platform direction for informed decisions on capability build-out, certifications, and resourcing.
  • Guide partners through the agentic AI opportunity on Sana, identifying whitespace, prioritizing use cases, and clarifying investment requirements.
  • Build joint business cases, quantify productivity gains of agentic workflows, and arm the partner’s value desk with Workday-specific ROI frameworks.
  • Support the GPO in maintaining a regular cadence with GSI practice leaders, advancing practice investment plans and surfacing joint go-to-market opportunities.
  • Bring structured partner intelligence (practice priorities, competitive signals, capability needs) back to Workday’s GPO, Product & Technology, and Partner Strategy teams.
  • Represent Workday alongside partners at joint industry events, conferences, and forums, co-presenting thought leadership.
  • Partner closely with the Forward Deployed Partner Architect aligned to the GSI, coordinating on large joint Workday deals and ensuring pod work translates into deal-level impact.
  • Coach team members' growth in product knowledge, partner engagement, and career development.
