About The Position

Coherent Corp. is seeking an entrepreneurial, strategic, and hands-on General Manager and Site Leader to lead its developing high-tech materials business in Port Richey, Florida. The site has approximately $25 million in revenue, and the position has complete operational and financial ownership of the facility. The role focuses on building and developing a technical production team to support growth while managing full P&L responsibilities and ensuring sustainable profitability and operational excellence. As the site's top executive, the Site Leader connects divisional strategy with local execution and fosters a culture of innovation, safety, and high performance. The position oversees daily site operations, including technical production, supply chain, quality assurance, engineering, and facilities management. It is responsible for safely and efficiently scaling production, aligning site strategies with divisional goals, maintaining EHS compliance, and representing the company in the local community and regional business ecosystem. Depending on location, the role may also be responsible for execution and maintenance of applicable ISO and other quality and environmental management standards. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Business Administration, or a related technical or management field.
At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in high-tech manufacturing or an advanced materials environment.
Proven full P&L ownership, strong financial acumen, and experience managing operations or equivalent projects valued at $20 million or more in revenue.
Demonstrated success building, scaling, and leading technical production and manufacturing teams from the ground up.
Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes, continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma, and EHS standards.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to report to corporate executive leadership and engage directly with the shop floor.

Responsibilities

Attract, recruit, and retain technical and production talent to build a high-performing manufacturing and engineering team.
Mentor, coach, and develop site staff; create succession plans and a collaborative culture aligned with company values.
Establish performance metrics and accountability structures to support the site's growth.
Manage full P&L accountability for the $25 million site, driving revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost management.
Develop and execute annual operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, and financial forecasts.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
Oversee daily site operations, including technical production, supply chain, quality assurance, engineering, and facilities management.
Scale production capabilities safely and efficiently to meet market demand for high-tech materials.
Align site operational strategies with goals set by the divisional Vice President.
Ensure workplace safety and compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and site and corporate EHS procedures.
Represent the company in the Port Richey community and regional business ecosystem.
Depending on location, execute and maintain applicable ISO and other quality management and environmental management standards.
