We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Manager, National Accounts - Sam's Club. This Bentonville based role serves as the primary representative supporting our Sam's Club business.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of related professional and progressive experience in sales in the CPG industry, preferably with large accounts.
  • In-depth background in multiple channels including food, drug, mass value stores and club.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving and negotiation.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into tactical actions and make sound business decisions under time pressure.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
  • Broker management experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Executing sales plans, both volume and profit, with assigned accounts.
  • Negotiating contracts at account headquarters and securing and maintaining distribution of products.
  • Building long-term relationships with customers to achieve business goals.
  • Developing and successfully executing sales strategies, tactics, plans, and budgets for maximizing sales volume while meeting profit margin targets.
  • Demonstrating products and providing assistance in the best application of product.
  • Contacting prospects and explaining features and merits of products offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques.
  • Analyzing records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred.
  • Interpreting accounts, trends, and records to management.
  • Servicing accounts and managing relationships regarding pricing, product warranty claims, receivables, etc.
  • Developing and coaching junior sales associates.
  • Providing market intelligence to management and peers.
  • Complying with SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action (where applicable).
