About The Position

The Sr. Key Account Manager initiates and develops the strategic sales activities of the organization to achieve retail sales and volume budget objectives. This role is responsible for maximizing sales and distribution of products through the development, negotiation, and communication of Customer Development Agreements (CDA) and marketing promotions. The position involves communicating with retailers and employees on various issues, executing company strategies, and ensuring economic initiatives are within budgetary guidelines and meet return on investment (ROI) criteria. The role also requires conducting market tours, participating in customer teams, preparing business reviews and sales reports, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Adherence to company policies, standards, and procedures, including safety compliance, is essential. The position requires working an assigned schedule, with flexibility for overtime as needed, and performing other related duties.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of previous beverage management experience.
  • At least 5 years of previous sales experience calling on national/regional chain accounts with proven sales results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Valid Driver's license and must be insurable to operate a vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed.
  • Knowledge of retail sales environment.
  • Knowledge of beverage industry.
  • Knowledge of standard selling practices.
  • Knowledge of promotional development.

Responsibilities

  • Maximizes sales and distribution of our products through the development, negotiation and communication of Customer Development Agreements (CDA) and marketing promotions.
  • Communicates with retailers and employees on issues regarding pricing, products, equipment programs and store execution issues as they arise.
  • Executes G&J's AOP strategies and programs for assigned retail customers.
  • Assures that customer related economic initiatives are within budgetary guidelines (e.g. CDA's, NSP, Gross Profit, MEM, marketing programs) and conforms to the appropriate return on investment (ROI).
  • Conducts frequent market tours to ensure execution of programming and provide feedback on marketplace execution across the broader organization.
  • Participates in customer JACT teams as assigned.
  • Initiates, prepares and conducts internal as well as external customer business reviews and planning meetings as necessary.
  • Prepares periodic sales reports, pricing models, analysis and ROI's as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, promotions, pricing, CDA contracts, profit and loss reports, customer information, employee information (e.g., discipline, wage information) and other sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g., OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local laws).
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
