About The Position

The Sr Manager, Global Partnership Sales is responsible for strategic sponsorship and partnership revenue generation efforts for Dr. Phillips Center. Essential to the center’s operations and long-term growth strategy, this role focuses on identifying, developing, negotiating, and securing corporate partnerships that advance brand visibility, audience engagement, and revenue objectives. This position serves as a sales leader responsible for cultivating relationships with local, regional, and national brands; driving new business opportunities; and developing innovative sponsorship solutions. Primary responsibilities include generating new prospect leads, executing strategic sales initiatives, managing a robust sales pipeline, and leading the partnership sales process from prospecting through contract execution for agreements ranging from $25,000 to $1,000,000+. This role carries an annual revenue goal of $1M+ and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver exceptional partner experiences and support the continued growth of Dr. Phillips Center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sports & Entertainment Management or related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in corporate partnership sales, sponsorship sales, business development, or strategic partnerships, preferably within entertainment, performing arts, sports, hospitality, media, or related industries required.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with CRM and partnership management platforms including Tessitura, SponsorCX (or equivalent CRM systems), and SponsorUnited, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Demonstrated success generating significant partnership revenue and closing complex sponsorship agreements with consistent, measurable results.
  • Strong knowledge of sponsorship strategy, partnership marketing, integrated brand activations, hospitality programs, inventory valuation/pricing, and pipeline management.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic sales presentations, cultivate long-term client relationships, and analyze financial, legal, and market research information to support business decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
  • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline driven with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic partnership sales plans designed to generate new sponsorship revenue and support organizational growth objectives.
  • Build, maintain, and actively manage a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through research, networking, market analysis, referrals, and community engagement.
  • Cultivate relationships with prospective and existing partners, business leaders, agencies, and community stakeholders to drive long-term sponsorship opportunities and renewals.
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle for partnership opportunities including prospecting, outreach, proposal development, pitch presentations, negotiation, contract execution, and account transition.
  • Create customized and integrated sponsorship packages aligned with partner marketing objectives and Dr. Phillips Center programming, hospitality, education, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Identify and evaluate market trends, emerging industries, audience insights, and community opportunities to drive innovative partnership strategies and new revenue streams.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national organizations to expand Dr. Phillips Center brand awareness and partnership visibility within the business community.
  • Represent Dr. Phillips Center at networking events, performances, industry conferences, trade shows, and community engagements to cultivate relationships and promote sponsorship opportunities.
  • Develop compelling sales decks, sponsorship proposals, partnership recommendations, and customized presentations with marketing and creative support.
  • Participate in the development of sales materials, sponsorship collateral, promotional tools, and new partnership assets.
  • Manage sponsorship-related RFIs/RFPs and coordinate internal resources to ensure deadlines are met and high-quality work product is delivered.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term partnership planning by analyzing contract performance, inventory valuation, and future revenue opportunities.
  • Support department strategy planning and contribute to the continuous improvement of partnership sales processes, reporting standards, and best practices.
  • Support thought leadership and strategic growth initiatives related to partnership sales, brand engagement, and revenue development.
  • Collaborate closely with Programming, Development, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to identify inventory opportunities, develop strategic assets, and align partnership offerings with organizational priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with partnership activation and fulfillment teams to ensure sponsorship agreements are executed successfully and partner expectations are exceeded.
  • Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with internal departments, partners, clients, and community stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support junior team members by sharing partnership knowledge, sales strategies, and best practices.
  • Follow and support all operational policies and procedures while exemplifying Dr. Phillips Center’s mission, values, and commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor and track partnership inventory, contractual obligations, invoicing schedules, renewal timelines, and financial reporting in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales activity, forecasting, pipeline tracking, and reporting within Tessitura and other CRM systems.
  • Deliver regular revenue forecasts, pipeline updates, sales activity reports, and financial summaries to leadership.
